Early voting brisk in Jeff Davis County

JEFF DAVIS COUNTY - Early voting has been brisk the first two days ballots have been available in the Democratic and Republican primaries. Starting on Tuesday, voters have been going to the polls at the county clerk's offices north of the Jeff Davis County Courthouse in steady numbers. Almost 70 had voted in the first two days. The early voting polls remain open all of next week, through Feb. 28 for the March 4 election. The only contested race in the primaries is for county judge on the Democratic ballot. Fred Granado and Rick Herrman are both on the ballot in that race, the winner to face Jeanette Duer in November.
