Sul Ross baseball player Dustan Greer (19) mimics Babe Ruth's "called shot"

Sul Ross baseball player Dustan Greer (19) mimics Babe Ruth's "called shot" at the 1932 World Series in the presence of the Bambino's last car. The 1948 Lincoln Continental, now owned by former Alpine resident Lonnie Shelton of Pampa, made a stop at Kokernot Field during last weekend's American Southwest Conference baseball series between the Lobos and Hardin-Simmons. Shelton now takes the car to various baseball venues, discussing aspects of Ruth's life and auctioning rides to the highest bidders, with all proceeds going to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
