Two killed in wreck are Turner relatives

ANDREWS COUNTY - The nephew and former brother-in-law of Scott Turner of Fort Davis were killed in a three-vehicle accident in Andrews County. Douglas Patrick Irwin, 43 of Big Spring and his son, Markus Patrick "Boo" Irwin, 15, died Dec. 6, 2014, in Andrews County when an El Paso driver ran a stop sign and a tractor trailer slammed into both vehicles. Irwin was born in Fort Stockton. He worked as an oilfield mechanic for Best Services. His survivors include wife Georganna (King) Irwin of Big Spring; son Dallas Irwin of Florida; daughter Tonya Hunter of Odessa; brothers Billy Gene Irwin Jr. of Larose, La., and Bruce Irwin of Worcester, Mass.; and a grandchild. "Boo" Irwin, a sophomore student at Coahoma High School, was riding with his dad when the 32-year-old El Paso man ran the stop sign and caused the accident that also killed the 32-year-old. The driver of the tractor trailer was not seriously injured. The younger Irwin was born to Doug and Carissa Michelle (Turner) Allen July 26, 1999, in Odessa. He is survived by his mother and her husband Richard of Terlingua; grandmother Mona McAuley of Terlingua; his uncle Scott Turner and wife Jennifer of Fort Davis and their daughter, his cousin, Jessica Turner; a number of other aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many other extended friends and family members. His services were Dec. 13 at Terlingua Ghostown Cemetery with George Goss officiating.
