Ann Fitzgerald

Ann Fitzgerald, 70, died Dec. 14, 2014, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. A former resident of Fort Davis and Marfa, she was born Jan. 1, 1944, in San Angelo to Bob and Mildred Weston. She married her husband John Fitzgerald Aug. 1, 1964, in Carlsbad, NM. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1962 and earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1971. She was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years including teaching at Alpine, Fort Davis and Marfa. Her husband was a former president of Fort Davis State Bank when she taught here. The Fitzgeralds moved to Lake Havasu City five years ago, coming from Marfa where they lived for 31 years. She was a loving wife for 50 years and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John S. Fitzgerald of Lake 
Havasu City; two sons, Scott Fitzgerald and Jeff Fitzgerald, grandsons Weston Clark and wife Connie; Grant and Jerry Fitzgerald and Tye and Jordon Ridgeway; two great grandchildren; two brothers Dan Weston and wife Sandy  and Ralph Weston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mildred Weston of Walsenburg, Colorado and sister Bobbie Lea Weston of Pueblo, Colorado. Graveside services were Dec. 20 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fort Davis. Services were conducted by Pastor Skeet Boyd, Pastor at Church in the Mountains in Fort Davis. Pallbearers were George Johnson of Alpine, John Mahoney of Vernon, Dale Parker of Fort Davis and Johnny Wofford of Fort Davis
