The man who wrote "Pistol Packin Mama"

Albert Poindexter was a housepainter who lived around Troup and Jacksonville. "Jacksonville people always said poindexter was from Troup. The people in Troup said Pointdexter was from Jacksonville". says Barnwell Anderson , a music historian who lives in Jacksonville. Albert Pointdexter owned a bar in the 1930´s and helped promote honkytonk music.
