93rd theatre season opens Oct. 10-12 with Castillo play

BIG BEND - "Moises: A Modern-Day Tragedy," a new play by Liz Coronado Castillo, opens the 93rd season of the Sul Ross State University theatre program. Directed by Dona W. Roman, Sul Ross professor of Theatre, "Moises: A Modern-Day Tragedy" will be performed Oct. 10-12 and 17- 19 in the Studio Theatre, Francois Fine Arts Building.

Coffey, Lloyd announce engagement,approaching marriage here on Nov. 1

FORT DAVIS - Bud and Adele Coffey of Fort Davis are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Aurie Adele to Charles Thomas (C. T.) Lloyd, son of Camille Miller Lloyd and the late Thomas Lee Lloyd of Bronte. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Aurie Mitchell West and the late Gene West of Marfa and the late Bob and Betsy Smith Coffey of San Angelo.

The 11th Annual Marfa Live Arts

The 11th Annual Marfa Live Arts 24 Hour Plays had over 30 participants: writing, acting, directing, teching, prop mastering and producing - and played to a standing-roomonly audience at the Crowley Theater Aug. 16. It was 24 hours of fastpaced creativity bringing together community tobuild friendships and to showcase the  talent of Far West Texas, including Haden and Shadix Wetzel of Fort Davis.
