Services are Tuesday for Hank Reynolds, 75

MARFA - Henry Wood "Hank" Reynolds died March 19, 2014 in Fairfield, Fla., at the age of 75. He was born Dec. 26, 1938, in El Paso to Nell Amelia Dowe and Wood Wilson Reynolds. He spent the first 11 years of his life living on the Tosesigua Ranch, Chihuahua, Mexico where his parents and grandparents ranched. He worked in ranching and agriculture related businesses all his life. He is survived by his son Curtis Wood Reynolds and wife Kim and granddaughter Kassie Sharon Reynolds all of Fairfield, Fla.; sisters Linda Reynolds Henderson of Del Rio, and Anne Dowe Reich of Cartersville, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Sharon Starkey Reynolds. A graveside service will be at the Marfa Cemetery June 10 at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Marfa Cemetery Association.

Crawford dies May 3 in Lubbock hospital

FORT DAVIS AND LUBBOCK - Corance Crawford, a parttime resident of Fort Davis, died on May 3, 2014, in Lubbock. Corance and his twin brother, Cornie, were born on May 17, 1922, to Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Crawford in Pinesville, LA. He is survived by his wife, Clois, whom he married on Dec. 24, 1942. They have been married 71 years. Mr. Crawford is also survived by his daughters, Cindy of Fort Davis, and Kisson Stan of Marshall; three grandchildren, Charles Nunn of Austin, Courtney Crawford of Ashville, NC and Michael Crawford of Debrecen, Hungary. He was buried at the Plains Cemetery in Plains on May 7.

Services on Saturday for Brett Lackey, 44

FORT DAVIS – Franklin Brett Lackey died on May 8, 2014 in San Angelo. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. this Saturday, May 17, at Geeslin Chapel, 209 West Sul Ross Avenue in Alpine. Burial service will follow in Presidio at the Desert Hill Cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Raton, NM on Jan. 7, 1969, the son of Helen and the late Frank Lackey. An outstanding football player for the Fort Davis Indians, he graduated from Fort Davis High School and attended Angelo State University and Sul Ross State University. He is survived by his wife Zorayma Lackey, stepson Michael Harris, daughters Krystin and Shae, brothers Rusty Lackey and Justin Lackey, mother Helen Lackey of Fort Davis and uncles, cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Linda Duncum dies in Fort Davis April 30

FORT DAVIS - Linda Marie Duncum, 54 of Alpine, died in Fort Davis April 30, 2014. She was born June 21, 1959, in Shelton, Conn., to Frank and Maria Hogan. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Pecos County Memorial Hospital and Big Bend Regional Medical Center. She was a National Guard veteran. She is survived by her daughter, Christy Sanchez and husband Mike of Alpine; stepson Daniel Duncum of Tyler; sister, Karen Kent of Chapel Hill, NC; brothers Jim Hogan of Winston-Salem, NC, and Tim Hogan of Rocky Mount, NC;, three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
