Indians take Wink out in come-from-behind win, let Longhorns hammer them here on Saturday

FORT DAVIS - Just which Fort Davis Indian volleyball team is going to show up is slowly making Coach Gary Lamar start to look like Mr. Clean, while folks in the stands are pulling their hair out too. On Saturday the Indians took Buena Vista lightly, at best, and let the Longhorns win three of four games and the match.

Fort Davis goes to 2-1 record with 64-36 win over Fort Hancock

FORT HANCOCK - Blocking . . . that's all the Fort Davis Indians needed to find another gear and get back into the win column after losing the previous week - now, about that tackling. The Indians took down Fort Hancock 64-36 in convincing fashion and if some of the tackling had been a little more sure-handed, this one would have been over very early in the evening.

Bears take advantage of blocking blunders to blister Indians by 52-6

The Balmorhea Bears are as good as advertised, deserving of their high ranking statewide and - if they stay healthy and if they continue to block and tackle the way they did Friday night are headed deep into the state D-11
playoffs. And if the Fort Davis Indians leared anything, it's that those little things - that blocking and tackling business - is what makes it happen, or in the case of the Indians, not happen
