Now the Indians going to Odessa for the state finals

Editor's Note: This is the 14th in a series on the 2003 Fort Davis Indians, who played in the state championship game, narrowly losing to Strawn in the final seconds. As this is the 10-year anniversary of that state finalist year, this series is dedicated to those players and their great season.
KERMIT - They started off slow yet again, but then Fort Davis put together 484 total yards - 1880 from Cody Stewart and 190 from John Liddell to rock the only team that had beaten them all year, Whitharral. The final was 50-42 and the win sets up the Indians for a trip to Odessa's Ratliff Stadium to play Strawn for the state six man championship.
